How to Deal With Australian Shepherd Behavior

If you are an owner of an Australian Shepherd, you probably know by now that an Australian Shepherd behavior is something that you will have to learn to deal with properly.  They are pretty active dogs and as a pet owner, you will need to cope up with the energy that your dog has.

Because Aussies are herding dogs, the absence of animals to lead may make it exercise its superiority over you, thus it will continuously bark at you.  They are really amongst the most intelligent dog breed.

The Australian Shepherd is also undoubtedly loyal to its owner.  Some of them even follow their owners literally around the house.  So if you own one, be prepared to see it tagging along even to your car.  Since Aussies are highly intelligent, it is good to train them for certain skills.  Training is also one good way to help your pet behave.  Proper dog behaviors are taught during trainings.

One problem that you will also have to deal with your Australian Shepherd is its tendency to endlessly bark and it can be an annoyance to your neighbors if you live in the city.  You can stop your dog from barking by lending your attention to it.  There are times when the dog will bark at you when it feels the need to play.

Play is a good form of exercise for Aussies.  This dog breed requires regular exercises and it would be good if as a pet owner, you could spend a few minutes each day to bond with your dog and give him a chance to exercise.

To sum it all up, dealing with Australian Shepherd behavior is not that hard at all.  You either control your dog or you let your dog have control over you.  Then of course, you would not want your dog to have power over you.
